You Know You're a Basketwife When...

in Europe, bagging your groceries turns into a competition between you and the check-out lady to see who finishes first.

I don't mean to brag, however, I have mastered the art of bagging your own groceries in Europe. 99% of the time I am done at the same time (or a couple seconds before) the check-out lady shows me the damage!

Totally impressed!! I'm terrible at this... usually when I look up, the cashier and the people in line are staring. Maybe you can blog about your technique.. lol :)

I don't know how they do it in Poland, but back in the states I am a machine! Of course I get good practice going to the market everyday!

Due to my international practice, I often times bag my own groceries at Whole Foods. The cashiers are always impressed!

LOL - I knew some of my basketwives would like this one. It really is a skill! Most people in Poland put their items back into their cart and move to the side then bag their groceries. I don't have that kind of time with a 3 year old at my leg! Technique, put all the big heavy stuff on the belt first so that is the first things you put into your bag, then continue to pile things on top! I bring my own reusable bags which I find helps!

Hey! That's exactly what I do! I also put items on the belt together that I know I want to bag together!
